Guwahati Municipal Corporation invites application for the post of Account Manager and Community organizer under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM), Guwahati Municipal Corporation.
Nature of Job:
contractual basis initially for 11 months. The engagement may be extended with the satisfactory review of performance.

POST NAME: ACCOUNTS MANAGER
- Place of Posting: CMMU Guwahati Municipal Corporation (DAY-NULM)
- Minimum Educational Qualification: B.Com
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience and knowledge in accountancy, PFMS, reporting and data analysis is desirable. Experience of accountancy and previous work experience in Govt. The sector is preferable.
- Age: Between 23 years and 35 years as on 01/01/2020.
- Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- per month plus allowance.
POST NAME: COMMUNITY ORGANIZER
- Place of Posting: Palashbari Municipal Board (DAY-NULM)
- Minimum Qualification: Higher Secondary
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferably in Community development and knowledge in basic computer is desirable. Experience of previous work experience in Govt. The sector is preferable.
- Age: Between 23 years and 35 years as on 01/01/2020.
- Remuneration: Rs. 12,000/- per month plus allowance.

Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) is the urban local body responsible for governing, developing and managing Guwahati. It administers an area of 216.79 km² of Guwahati city. The entire GMC area is divided into 31 municipal wards and each municipal ward is further divided into 2, 3 or 4 Area Sabhas. Presently, there are 90 Area Sabhas. GMC works under the Guwahati Development Department, Assam.
Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM)
DAY-NULM envisages reducing poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. The mission would aim at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner. In addition, the mission would also address the livelihood concerns of the urban street vendors by facilitating access to suitable spaces, institutional credit, social security and skills to the urban street vendors for accessing emerging market opportunities.
