Eligibility Criteria for Assam Transport Recruitment 2020

The candidate must satisfy the following criteria.

• Nationality:
  • Candidates must be Indian Citizen, ordinarily resident of Assam.
  • He/ She must have registered his/her name in any Employment Exchange of Assam.
• Age:

Candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2020 (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1982)

• • Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as under:
    • 05 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) & ST (H).
    • 03 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
•  Educational Qualification:

1. Junior Assistant (HQ. Level& District Level) & Computer: The candidate must be a Graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce or equivalent from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University and must possess Diploma in Computer.
2. Assistant Commercial Officer: The candidate must be a Graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce or equivalent from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University.
3. Stenographer-III: The candidate must be a Graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce or equivalent from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University with having National Trade Certificate in Stenography from ITI in Assam or any other Institutes recognized by Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India with 80 words per minutes.
4. Assistant Enforcement Inspector: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board/ Council.
5. Enforcement Checker: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from any recognized Board.
6. Machinist: HSLC or equivalent examination passed with Diploma in Machinist from ITI or Govt. recognized Institute.
7. Fitter Helper: HSLC or equivalent examination passed with Diploma in Fitter from ITI or Govt. recognized Institute.
8. Electrical Wire-man: HSLC or equivalent examination passed with Diploma in Electrical Wire-man from ITI or Govt. recognized Institute.
9. Grade-IV (District Level): Class VIII Passed.

Selection Procedure:

The candidates need to appear for the Two Phases of Test

• Phase 1: Written Test (100 marks)
• Phase 2: Practical Test will be computer based exam to test the knowledge of posts applied and proficiency in computer operations (50 marks)

  • For candidates who have not appeared in HSLC or equivalent examination, the birth certificate issued by Competent Authority will be accepted.
  • Certificate & Mark-sheet of Minimum Educational Qualification for the Post concerned. The certificate on computer proficiency for the posts of Jr. Asstt. & Computer. In case of candidates having Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent from any Govt. registered / UGC recognized / accredited Universities / Institutions, may also upload separate Diploma certificate in computer, if any.
  • National Trade Certificate in Stenography from ITI in Assam or any other Institutes recognized by Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India for the post of Stenographer Grade III.
  • Diploma certificate in Machinist/Fitter/Electrical Wireman from ITI or Govt. recognized Institute.
  • Certificate of caste from the competent authority in respect of the candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC, SC, ST (P) & ST(H).
  • Employment Exchange Registration Card/Certificate.
  • EWS certificate from Competent Authority.
